Our 11th Annual basketball camp/3on3 tournament concluded on June 22, 2019 at Birds Isle with the 3on3 tournaments.  A total of 225 kids participated. The kids represented were from the following schools; St. Ignatius, All Saints, Wesley Upper, St. Mary's, Nazarene, St. Martin de Porres, St. Mary's, Queen St. Baptist, St. Joseph and St. John's Primary. The two day camp started on the June 20th and concluded on the 21st.

The camp was conducted by Harry Grant assisted by Roger Bradley, Bobby Sox and Phillip Parks Jr.

The 3on3 Tournaments started at 8am on the 22nd with 26 teams participating in the U13, U15 and U17 age groups.

Gators and Warriors played for the U13 Championship.                   Gators won

Eagles and Future Shock OG played for the U15 Championship.     Future Shock OG won

During our first day of camp COBY Foundation donated school supplies to the principal of Wesley School Ms. Shirley Saldano. Thanks for the invitation to speak at the kids graduation ceremony. It was an honor and a privilidge.

Our 10th Annual basketball camp/3on3 tournament concluded on July 21, 2018 at Birds Isle with the 3on3 tournaments.  A total of 109 kids participated. The kids represented were from the following schools; St. Ignatius, All Saints, SJC, Wesley College, St. Mary's, Nazarene, St. Martins, EP Yorke, Excelsior, Grace Primary & Maud Williams. The two day camp started on the 19th and concluded on the 20th.

The camp was conducted by Harry Grant assisted by Roger Bradley, Bobby Sox, Danny Meighan.

The 3on3 Tournaments started at 8am on the 21st with 19 teams participating in the U13, U15 and U17 age groups.

Falcon and Future Shock played for the U13 Championship. Future Shock was victorious.

Air Ballers and New Comers played for the U15 Championship. New Comers was victorious.

Third World and Unruly Ballers played for the U17 Championship. Unruly Ballers was victorious.

Our 9th Annual basketball camp/3on3 tournament concluded on June 24, 2017 with the outdoor/indoor 3on3 tournaments. The outdoor tournament started at the Kings of the Park court (Lopez Mateos) in Kings Park at 8am with the 13 and under and concluded at St. Catherine’s Academy Gym with the 15 and under and 17 and under tournaments. A total of 19 teams participated.

Bakers and Kings played for the U13 Championship. Kings were victorious.

Dream Ballers and Lakers played for the U15 Championship. Lakers were victorious.

Shining Stars and Kings2 played for the U17 Championship. Shining Stars were victorious.

The camp started on Thursday June 22, 2017 with students from St. Mary's, St. Ignatius, Wesley Primary, Bethel Assembly, Queen Square Anglican, St. Joseph, Button Wood Bay Nazarene, St. Johns Vianny, and St. Martin DePorres attending a two-day clinic. A total of 187 students participated.

The clinic was conducted by Brads Neal assisted by Kevin Laurie, Donnell Arzu, Nicholas Phillips, Amir Vernon, Vince Young Jr., Devin Daley and Pappy Leslie.

Thanks to Roger Bradley for contacting and making the coordination with all the schools.

The activities were a collaboration of COBY Foundation, Hoop Dreams, FIBA33, and GBED (Get Better Every Day).

The first day of clinic was graced with the presence of two time Olympian and one of Belize most outstanding athlete Colin Thurton accompanied by his grandson KJ.

Our eighth annual 3 on 3 tournaments at Birds Isle on June 18, 2016 was another success for our young and steadily improving foundation. We continue to operate on a budget that is totally financed solely on donations and time supplied by family and friends. We had in excess of one hundred and twenty three  kids participated in this years tournament and two day clinic. A total of seventy six kids made up the teams in this years tournament and forty seven for the clinic.

The two day basketball Clinic was conducted by Brads Neal with the assistance of Roger Bradley, Nicholas Phillips and Darnell Oden. Students from the following Primary School attended the clinic: St. John's Vianney, Wesley Upper, All Saints, St. John's Primary and Queen Square Anglican.

Eight Under -12 Teams, Five Under-14 Teams, and Six Under-16 Teams.

Warriors and Bulls played for the U12 Championship. Warriors were victorious.

All Star Rookies and Blazers played for the U14 Championship. All Star Rookies were victorious.

Amara Stars and Euphrates Boys played for the U16 Championship. Amara Stars were victorious.

Our sixth annual 3 on 3 tournaments at Birds Isle on June 21, 2014 was another successful venue. The week started with a three day basketball clinic on Wednesday  18th thru Friday 20th. The two hour sessions focused on the fundamentals of the game. The clinic was attended by kids ranging in ages six thru sixteen and conducted by Brads Neal and Adam Carswell. We had in excess of four hundred  kids participated in this years tournament and clinic combined. One hundred and fifty two kids make up the teams in the tournament.

Twelve Under -12 Teams, Sixteen Under-14 Teams, and Ten Under-16 Teams.

Lakers and All Stars played for the U12 Championship. All Stars won.

Elite Ballers and Erasers played for the U14 Championship. Elite Ballers won.

Team 1 Ballers and Humble Ballers played for the U16 Championship. Humble Ballers won.

Our fifth annual 3 on 3 tournaments at Birds Isle on June 15, 2013 was a great success. We had three hundred and twenty kids participated in this years tournament with one hundred and sixty making up the teams in the tournament. Fourteen Under -12 Teams, Sixteen Under-14 Teams, and Ten Under-16 Teams.

Kings and Indians played for the U12 Championship. Kings won

Street Ballers and Lake I Boys played for the U14 Championship. Street Ballers won.

ABS Ballers and Unruly Ballers played for the championship. ABS Ballers won.

Honorable mention to the Police Cadets for their annual support in fielding a team and bringing their entire cadre of cadets for support. These officers do a great job of mentoring many of our young boys and girls.

In other activities the Lake Independence Baptist Church organize a fundraiser for COBY Foundation which generated several hundred dollars. Thank you Pastor Ashley and Lisa Rocke for the use of the church facilities. Many thanks to Ms.Sarita, Ms. Shirleen, Ms. Maria, Lisa and my wife for the excellent tasting food.

One third of the funds raised was donated to seven kids from the church to attend Vacation Bible School in Maskall.

We had four hundred and fourteen kids participated in this years tournament with two hundred and four making up the teams in the tournament. Seventeen Under -12 Teams, Eighteen Under-14 Teams, and Sixteen Under-16 Teams.

Honorable mention to the Crusaders Under-16 team who travelled from Mount Carmel High School in Benque Viejo, Cayo and made it to the semi finals. We also want to recognize the BDF Cadets for their annual support in fielding a team and bringing their entire cadre of cadets for support.

In other activities we donated several boxes of children clothes and footwear to Lake Independence Baptisit Church for distribution to children in the neighbourhood.
